Animal Boxes

Born in 2016, one of my main body of work is the animal in the box. A relatable creature, expressive, emotional, vulnerable, honest, powerful. Positioned in a space that concentrates, a space for connection, for dissolving boundaries between mammals. A sacred space. A safe space. A guardian, a companion.

Each of these pieces is unique, the animals are constantly evolving, reflecting, mirroring. They have changed over the years, they are not stagnant, they move, develop, strive towards who they want to become. I know a piece is finished when it speaks to me. When that spark is present.
